Movie Time Contest - My Entry - Bird Box
Hello, fellow Steemit users. Movies and TV series are a great source of entertainment nowadays. People are amazed by the various new and upcoming movies. Many movies are coming up with quite unique plots. Some have very interesting stories while others carry a deep message for society. There have been various advancements in the movies regarding the thriller genre. I would like to talk about one such movie today. This movie had a very unique and suspenseful plot.
The movie is Bird Box. It is a 2018 released horror and sci-fi movie. The movie is about a mysterious force that terrorizes the human population and - "if you see it, you die".

ABOUT THE MOVIE
We have all witnessed several mysterious forces in different movies. Forces that are destructive, and have the capability to annihilate anyone. In this movie, there is a similar force, but it is quite peculiar. This force kills you if you see it and it is not a human or a disease or an alien, it's just a force. The movie begins with a woman and her two children embarking on a dangerous journey on a boat. They were traveling through the river in hope of reaching a shelter. They were all blindfolded. The journey was pretty hard as they had to navigate without seeing and had to rely on the river and their other senses for a safe journey.
The movie also takes us to the woman's past in between, a few years back and we are shown how the force created havoc there and why she and her kids were the lone survivors in that area. We are shown how a number of people are killed and several accidents take place, once the force infiltrates the area. The encounters and everything are very tensed and thrilled. The movie also makes us wonder whether the woman and her kids will be able to reach their destination or will they succumb to the same horrific fate as others.
ANALYSIS OF THE MOVIE
Bird Box though having a unique concept is not all good. It has certain flaws in places. The actors however did their job very well. Sandra Bullock's acting and performance are just fabulous. The actor who is known for her exceptional performance and directing keeps up with the good work in this movie as well. The five-year gap seemed a bit unnecessary to the viewers and how nothing happened during that time and suddenly there was an onslaught of terror five years later.
The fact that the people in the movie are not using the most important sense - the sense of vision, creates a surrounding of thrill and suspense. The presence is shown to be very powerful and just a very glance of it can kill someone. The presence helps in keeping up with the mystery. The movie is worth watching and I recommend everyone to watch it.
