Brazil's Guedes urges 'calm', govt eyes $2 billion package to fight coronavirus By Reuters
Brazil's Economy Minister Paulo Guedes on Thursday called for quiet to confront the developing feeling of emergency, saying the administration would like to agree with administrators for a 10 billion reais ($2.05 billion) bundle to battle the spread of coronavirus.
His comments come a day after Congress toppled a presidential veto, which will see spending on social help for older and debilitated individuals cost an additional 20 billion reais ($4.2 billion) this year.
