Bitcoin is far better than gold. The amount of Bitcoin is fixed but as for gold even though it is rare, new gold deposits could possibly be found. Bitcoin can easily be transferred from one person to another in any part of the world quickly but for gold transferability and storage are highly onerous and expensive. Given the advantages Bitcoin has , it is no surprise that Bitcoin has decoupled from gold.
