I grew up in church and have always known of Jesus. I really didn't know him all that well until around 5 or so years ago and started studying more about His life, how He lived, what He taught and who He really was.

Here is a few quick things I did learn

• His Hebrew name is Yeshua....Jesus is Greek and was transliterated from the Hebrew
• He did not come to teach something new, to go against what was already given by God himself...John 7:16 "Jesus answered them and said, “My doctrine is not Mine, but His who sent Me."

If I truly believed that He is the Messiah and that He died for my sins then I need to follow Him all of Him and not be just a fan of Him but to a follower of Him!

1 John 2:6 "He who says he abides in Him ought himself also to walk just as He walked."

And that is what I am trying to do, follow His example.....we only have one example in the Bible of someone who did everything the right way! Even though I fail and need His forgiveness everyday that doesn't stop me from trying to follow Him!
