Accepting the Victory of Christ in your life.
One of the greatest needs of the church today is that the victories that are granted in the field of theology, in discussions, find their place also in our practical life. The forces of evil surround us. We have entered into a conflict that we cannot avoid. We are not fighting against earthly flesh and blood, but against the spiritual power of the devil.
Satan blinded our eyes in this invisible reality. The more we know about Christ's victory, the more we will realize that victory over sin can become ours. This experience can be ours if Jesus really is the Lord of our lives. We will thank you forever for redeeming us.
We will remove our crowns and throw them at the pierced feet of Christ. Thanks to his mercy, the freed captives of every nation, tribe, and language will enter his holy city to give him glory for ever and ever.
Jesus won a glorious victory over every deplorable, sensual, and destructive property of our character. But he had to meet and defeat another enemy. This enemy was death. This was the last enemy. His victory at Calvary would not have been complete without a resurrection from the dead.
A huge stone was piled at the entrance to the tomb, hoping to keep Christ there. This stone was sealed with a Roman seal. One hundred soldiers were ordered to protect this grave. They had to make sure that the kidnapping did not occur in order to deceive. The angel of the Lord, in full splendor of glory, came, tore the seal, and rolled the stone (Matthew 28: 2).
When Jesus got up, all the guards fell like dead. The pagan guardians appointed to protect Jesus in the grave were now the first impartial witnesses to his triumph. They saw him resurrected. He has forever demonstrated his claim of "resurrection and life" (John 11:25).
From that moment on, he lives forever. Christ experienced death for the good of every man (Heb. 16:18). Death was defeated. The purpose of his coming into this world to break the chains of sin and death on man was fulfilled. As He lives, we can also live. We have nothing to fear, even death itself.
