Day Ten
Not far from the house is a school-house, now mostly empty save for a few lingering children and teachers. Of these one or two will still make their way home tonight, leaving behind just a scant few to see through this holiday as a makeshift school family.
Despite the lack of a “proper” home, the students and teachers make the best of the night and sing songs, play games, and begin preparations of a meal to be enjoyed tomorrow.
