Frosty Pictures on the Window in the Trees and Captured in a Crystal Ball - Wednesday Walk
This last week I remained captured by the beauty of Jack Frost as it continued to paint it's magic on windows and scenic views outdoors.
I managed to capture a few more pictures before the wind got up and knocked all the snow crystals off the trees and I picked out a few of my favorites to share with you.
Jack Frost Artistry on the Windowpane
The beauty of having some old windows is it allows for moisture build up, combined with cold temperatures outside and Jack Frost does it's magic!

One last view out the frost painted window before we go outside.
Frosty Feathery Strokes Across Our Windowpane
The frost touched everything! Even the snow had special frost crystals on it!
Frost Crystals On Top of the Snow Layer
When I went outside I went to get some bird feed and caught a cute looking fellow peering from behind the box. (excuse the quality of the picture - no time to really focus in)
Young Weasel Peering From Behind the Box
The weasel scurried behind the box and that was the last animal I saw on my walk, although I saw lots of tracks in the snow.
Out on the road we looked into a beautiful frosty scene...

I found the popular trees to be particularly beautiful with the heavy hoar frost.

Upon returning to our yard I bought out my crystal photography globe to see what I could capture with it.
Capturing the Beauty of the Frosted Pines in the Crystal Ball
It wasn't long before the sun started to set putting a pink hue on the whole scene

One last view of the pastel colored skies above the pines...

The setting sun signaled it's time to go in - until next time I hope you are all having a wonderful new year!

Frost is really the art of nature!
Breathtaking pictures, @porters! I love the hoar frost. It’s so magical. The ice formations on your windows are beautiful too — nature’s artwork! And oh my gosh, that cute little curious weasel. How adorable!
Wow that crystal ball photography is cool bananas! And that little weasal... ahah.. whst a cute little guy. What a magic wonderland!
The frost on the window truly looks like a great artwork -- I thought the first photo was a painting until I read the post and had a closer look. :)
Such beautiful wintry photos!
Silver lining to old windows, you get beautiful frost paintings! With our modern windows, no such luck.
I loved the color tones in the last, painted by the setting sun. But then entire post was simply lovely!
Such beautiful photos all of them the ones of the frosty windows are like works of art

I love how you used the windows and the crystal ball my friend. Very inventive and beautiful results.
All of the photos here are picture perfect.
Blessings!
This is really interesting. I was trying to figure out what plants was it in your first photos but then found out it was the frost on your window pane. We will never have this here in Malaysia. And the different foot prints in the snow. wow!!! Thanks for sharing.
