It was a very quiet city or so it seemed to the Jones family, they usually drive to the Acres city in Missiouri USA. It was a very cool place and they had a beautiful cafe ( Eye-Catching) at the beginning of the street where they use to have a good time. You will see couples dancing, children playing, lights on the street till dawn. It was a place everyone dreams to be. It seems everything about is PEEFECT

The entire family loves the environment and they pressured the father to get a house there. So Jones and the wife was just waiting to make some extra bucks in order to get a house in their dream city.

Having made some extra money enough to get a modest apartment, he went out in search of an apartment. Mr Jones and the wife were very fortunate to get an apartment not just in the cafe street but very close to the cafe. The children were very excited that soonest, they will be moving to the place of their dream.

All of their friends had always wanted to be there but they couldn't. The children (Esther(8years) and Jacob (11 years)) did not feel bad that they will be changing school or leaving their old friends behind. They were so excited that they could not sleep till their mom added some sleeping pills in the milk shake she gave them to drink.

Early in the morning the next day, they packed, put their belongings into the truck and waved goodbye.

A happy start in the new neighbourhood And unimaginable things happening

When they got to their new street. They started taking things to their new apartment. Their new neighbours assisted them to unpack and the family was happy to have such nice neighbours.
The kids were quick to make friends at school and they were very happy.

However, after staying their for some weeks, strange things started happening. Every morning, the Jones family will open their front door to see lots of dirts and rubbish packed in front of their doors. Sandra Jones, wife of Mr Jones asked around to know where it was coming from, and a neighbour was bold enough to tell her that as new people, they will be throwing away trash for the neighbourhood until they decide that it should stop. That it was the custom of the place.

Nonetheless, Sandra removed the rubbish and sternly warned them not to do that again. That was just the Genesis of their problems.

The children were booed and bullied at school, their books torn and confiscated and finally they were they were sent home since they were tagged as trouble makers.

Strange activities started happening very close to their house at night with the beautiful cafe In sight. The couple was banned from going to the cafe.

The pet dogs they had went missing and their carcasses were found in the nearby forest. It also looks like they were used for sacrifices.

One night, a neighbour secretly went to the backyard and called out Mr. Jones, telling him that the city occupants normally have a sacrifice they make to their deity whom they think protects them and since everyone hates him and his family, his daughter would be kidnapped as the sacrificial lamb. He also told him that this was the reason why most people do not come to live here, especially after having such nasty experiences and some even loosing their child.

Mr Jones was surprised at how unsafe and wicked the city and it's inhabitants were, despite the love and calmness which surrounds it when you just come on an outing to enjoy the serenity of the place, what you think you see is not what it is.

He inquired from this neighbour why he was telling him all this? The neighbour told him that he does not want him and his family to be a victim of such cruelty as they seemed to be such a nice family. That if he is seen telling him these things, he too will be executed, little wonder he came under the light of the moon. He urged him to leave that night before the light of the next morning.

Immediately the neighbour left, He immediately went back into the house, told the wife about everything the neighbour said and why they should leave immediately.

So to deceive the neighbours, they put off the lights as if they have gone to bed, the children were woken up from sleep, got their back packs and torches and quietly left the city, without anyone knowing about it.

Fortunately, they did not sell their old house outside the city, so they went back to that old house. The entire Jones Family was very thankful for the neighbour who risked his life to save them. They also realized of the need to be content with what they have, now knowing that the beautiful city and the glamorous cafe was a dangerous place and a dead end to be.

THEY NOW UNDERSTOOD THE SENTENCE THAT

ALL THAT GLITTERS IS NOT GOLD
