My entry to the contest: Your favorite children's story

Hello steemians,

Today I'm going to tell you a story I read as a kid that made me feel stronger against bullying. I even told it to my grandson when he came home crying and complaining that his friends made fun of his last name. I thank the Team Writing & Reviews @belenguerra, @writingnreviews and @fendit for giving this opportunity so that we can learn some lessons and enjoy the reading.

How did it happen ?

I belong to a generation that did not have satellite channels crushing his feelings and his mind, 24 hours a day; Television does not start broadcasting until midday and lasts no more than ten at night. We were allowed to watch the animation, maybe a program or two.

We had no computer games, no websites or social media. So reading was the only way - we have it - to be entertained. Originally, it was a shame for us, despite our childhood, not to hold a book or magazine dedicated to those of our ages. We were forced to read. Parents used to buy us some magazines, and we would have to save our "money" (those few pennies) so that we could buy stories. In addition to all that, the school used to give us books as gifts, if we excelled in the semester exams, and of course, in the end-of-year exams.

We grew up reading. It is no longer an obligatory duty, it has become a choice we have taken to the extreme. What is left in my memory from childhood readings? Many things I cannot enumerate. But since it is necessary to choose a story, I will choose, for example, the story of the hideous ugly duck that I read at the age of nine, this story you may see as a children's tale, but it has very deep meanings that happen to each of us in his life of difficulties, failure and frustration that we may feel in the stages of our lives .

The story tells of a duck sitting on a farm on a group of eggs waiting for it to hatch. The eggs hatch and soon six small yellow ducks appear, and after a little while another egg hatches, showing a strange-shaped duck with gray feathers. All the ducks considered her foolish even her mother, so the duck ran away and lived alone, until a farmer saw her and took her home with him and fed her, yet the duck was afraid of his children because they did not accept her either, and she fled to a cave next to a frozen lake, and when spring came a herd of swans came down to the lake, and approached From the duck, which was expected to reject her as well, but she was astonished at his welcoming her, and then she looked at the reflection of her image in the water, and made sure that she was not ugly as some saw her, and she joined her new family.

The moral of the story :

The wisdom that the writer wanted to convey is that every person among us finds great difficulty in intellectual growth and maturity, finding oneself and finding yourself in what you want from this life.

Always pay no attention to rescuers and passive people. Focus on your goal and you will reach it, then you will find yourself surrounded by the people you dreamed of being one of them and all the people who were mocking you will be able to be in your place that they did not like.

Enjoy the troubles and confusions that happen to you because it is the only thing that will make you grow from an ugly duck sauce that no one likes into a big and beautiful pelican that all people wish to accompany.
