The Hawk And The Hen

This story is about the hawk and the hen, how their friendship turned into hatred.

Once upon a time, the hawk and the hen were very good friends. They did everything together.

One day, the hawk came to his friend and asked him to help him make a drum. The drum both of them will use to play and entertain themselves. The hen told the hawk that he was sick and as a result of that, he would not be able to help in making of the drum.

The hawk then asked for the tools of the hen. The hen told the hawk that, his tools are also sick. In my life I haven't seen a sick tools. Hen didn't want to have anything to do with the drum and didn't also want to help.

The hawk left his friend and went into the bush for the log to be used for the drum. He tried his possible best to get the needed tool and materials. He had no encouragement or did someone offer support to him. Through his blood and toil, he was able to complete the drum.

He left the drum in the sun to dry. In a distance, the hawk heard the sound of his drum after he had left to relax. Who could be playing my drum?. He then flown as fast as he could so he could identify the person. To his surprise, it was the hen his friend who had woken up from his sick bed to play the drum.

If you were the hawk, what would you do to the hen? When the hen was cought, she begged for her life. The hen the decided to allow the hawk to take any of her children anytime she gives birth. That brought a friction between these two friends. Now the hawk and the hen does not see eye to eye. And as a result of their verbal contract between those two, anytime the hen hatches it eggs, the hawk find a delicious dinner in the chicks.

What is the moral lessons in this story. I remember back in those days, I said we shouldn't encourage the habit of laziness.
Another person said, we should offer support when we can because no one knows tommorow.
