What's new from Curiosity

Curiosity has already lost much of the prominence it had due to the arrival of Perseverance and the Ingenuity Helicopter Drone that reached Mars and have captured all the attention, but Curiosity continues to work and continues to explore and continues to give us amazing images today the curiosity is located on the slope of greening hub.

It's a wide sloping plain near the base of Mount Sharp, stretching about a mile wide, it slopes out as a strange, stand-alone feature on that part of Mount Shark, and in fact the scientists sent Curiosity there because I did not understand very well how it was formed, it is also close to an area that may have been created as the debris flowed, it fell down the mountain with which there may be very interesting remains and in any case the curiosity must be remembered that it is moving through the lower areas of the mountain where it was known in the past that there was water and environments that could have been perfectly habitable in the past.

While he was doing his work, taking his photos and taking his samples, Curiosity took an image on May 7 that some have identified as a door, specifically the image above, remember that the camera of Curiosity that is in particular is the camera that is on the mast, it is about 2 meters and 20 centimeters high, therefore the big rock this big rock that we are seeing must be about 6 or 8 meters.

This "door", which some imagine as a door must be a few centimeters, is believed to be the product of a shear crack due to earthquakes on Mars, in fact very close to it there is another crack and another fracture that has a similar shape, but much smaller, also a square shape like a small door, the rock is with its fractures and other angular fractures that can be seen.

In this other image you can see more in detail the inside of that door, that fracture, that hole, this black and white image shows the background there is no more background, we are therefore talking about a crack and you can also see the crack that could have given rise to this fracture, which must be a few centimeters high and also a few centimeters deep.

In conclusion we see that it is another case of Pareidolia, which is what it is called when we see shapes in rocks or clouds, shapes that remind us of things, on Mars there have been really curious things like the flying spoon or lizards or bones a bit of everything or even a woman in a skirt.
