"Los frutos del Espíritu son perfecciones que forma en nosotros el Espíritu Santo como primicias de la gloria eterna. La tradición de la Iglesia enumera doce: “caridad, gozo, paz, paciencia, longanimidad, bondad, benignidad, mansedumbre, fidelidad, modestia, continencia, castidad (Gálatas 5, 22-23)”. (Catecismo 1832)

    En esta serie reflexionaremos sobre los frutos del Espíritu, el significado y la importancia de cada uno de ellos dentro de la vida cristiana.

Longanimidad

    La longanimidad se define como la constancia de ánimo ante las adversidades de la vida. El cristiano portador de este fruto sabe esperar y confiar en la acción de la gracia y de la providencia Divina. Este fruto adorna y vigoriza la acción misionera y evangelizadora del cristiano, que inspirado por el Espíritu Santo, no se desanima al enfrentar dificultades, sino que más bien, con voluntad firme y con entrega, persevera en la labor salvífica.

    Que el Espíritu Santo nos inspire siempre a confiar en Dios y en Su Divina providencia para perseverar sin desanimar en la vida y en la obra evangelizadora.

"The fruits of the Spirit are perfections that the Holy Spirit forms in us as the first fruits of eternal glory. Longanimity

    Long-suffering is defined as perseverance in the face of life's adversities. The Christian bearer of this fruit knows how to wait and trust in the action of grace and Divine providence. This fruit adorns and invigorates the missionary and evangelizing action of the Christian, who, inspired by the Holy Spirit, does not become discouraged when facing difficulties, but rather, with a firm will and dedication, perseveres in the work of salvation.

    May the Holy Spirit always inspire us to trust in God and in his Divine providence to persevere without discouragement in life and in evangelizing work.
