The joy in waiting.
"Rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer." Romans 12:12
Sometimes our days can be long, hard, and very stressful. It could be that we are broken hearted, having problems at work and family or we've lost a loved one. So when we’re exhausted or worried, being patient is probably the last thing on our minds, but it should be really be the first. During trying times, many people forget to turn to God or prayer for guidance.
Getting a heartbreak, losing a loved one, not getting your prayers answered right there and then and all that is part of a believer's journey. Sometimes we feel so despondent and down to the extent that we feel that's our dead end. But God wants to assure us that, no matter what happens to us, we must stay in patience, there will be a light at the end of the tunnel; we will smile in the end.
And remember this, God wouldn't let anything too much for you come unto you- once it has come to you, it means you can overcome it because you've been fortified!
"There hath no temptation taken hold of you but such as is common to man. But God is faithful; He will not suffer you to be tempted beyond that which ye are able to bear, but with the temptation will also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it" 1 Corinthians 10:13
You'll think your prayers won't be answered because you've asked for a particular thing for too long. You might be thinking God has forsaken you, but be assured, God says He's with you and He does all things in His time.
"He has made everything appropriate in its time. He has also set eternity in their heart, yet so that man will not find out the work which God has done from the beginning even to the end" Ecclesiastes 3:11
God wants to tell you to not lose hope; hold unto your faith, be patient! God will never forsake you as long as you trust him that with him all things are possible.
