Knowledge: The believer's foundation
Knowledge, there say is power, what you know cannot kill you, but what you don't know can kill you. So the foundation of everything is knowledge.
Same is applicable in a believer's life, you will be ineffective in your Christian work when you don't have precise knowledge of who you are in Christ, scripture said that my people are destroyed because of lack of knowledge.
Scripture didn't say lack of money or by witches and wizard, neither did he say by the devil or Satan, but he said by lack of knowledge, so it is important that you know.
Knowledge gives you boldness, knowledge gives you confidence, knowledge is power, when you don't know you suffers, you can only be a captive when you don't know.
This is why the scripture is advising us to study to show yourself approved a work man that need not to be ashamed, so that you can rightly divide the word of true.
If you don't know who you are, you will envy, jealous and will even feel less before unbelievers, an as such you start competing, forgetting that what is in you is greater than what is in the world.
Competition is driven by fear and greed, all of these is put together is lack of knowledge of who you are in Christ Jesus. Fear and greed are the instruments of the devil, the moment you have this understanding you will not allow fear and greed to envelop you life.
Spirituality is not base on material things you have or your position in life, your true identity is not describe on what you have or what you don't have, you are not what you have, your value doesn't depend on what you have, material things do not defined a believer.
Luke 12:15>>And he said unto them, Take heed, and beware of covetousness: for a man's life consisteth not in the abundance of the things which he possesseth.
When you know who you are, you begin to think right, and you will express the power of God in you. The greatest discovery in life is to discover who you are in Christ Jesus.
Scripture is not given for social or academic knowledge, scripture is not given to memorize, but rather scripture is for understanding and to build up your faith in Christ Jesus.
Romans 16:25>>Now to him that is of power to stablish you according to my gospel, and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery, which was kept secret since the world began,
Freedom of a believer is knowledge, what you don't know can never add to you.
