It was the football English Premier League 2012/13 season and it was one of the most annoying seasons for manchester united fans as there was enmity between Sir Alex Ferguson and Wayne Rooney resulting in consistent bench-warming after he stated that the Alex Ferguson team no longer suites his pattern of play, the fans had no say as they watched one of their favourite soccer stars sit on the bench during playing time, Chelsea and several clubs came to make a bid for Wayne Rooney but the transfers were turned down leaving the fans angry with no veto power this is where I begin my homework post on the socios.com platform.

1. Explain in detail what is the Socios.com Platform?

The socios.com platform is a blockchain technology that was built by the desire and mindset to engage fans on their favourite teams around the world, it merge the sport and crypto with an awesome blend that they can now be almost inseparable as we see they are both interwoven
so we see from the little story I gave above the fans would have had a much better way to express their feelings and idea on the Rooney scenario but unfortunately, manchester united had no collaboration with the socios.com platform. although the subject to decide by the fans are given by the clubs but there is a wide and great range of decisions to explore by the fans

just as I made mention of the voting power, these votings are done by fans who possess the club token, these club tokens are called fans tokens when you vote your fan token do not reduce so you need not fear,

2. What are the effects when blockchain has entered the realm of the sports industry?

There are many effects of the blockchain on the realm of the sports industry but I will mention a few

DECENTRALIZED PLATFORM

As we all know the sports world is ruled by centralized bodies where authorities and decisions are made from a source, stating the disadvantages of a centralized system can not be overemphasized. bringing the decentralized system into the sports industry will be mind-blowing as fans will also have a say in the decision making of the club

MORE AWARENESS ON CRYPTOCURRENCY

with sport being one of the industries with the highest number fan base, it is will be great exposure for the cryptocurrency industry as a lot of fans will be interested in the cryptocurrency technology

MORE FINANCE TO THE SPORT INDUSTRY

with the creation of club tokens and the sequence of voting for decision making by the fans, it is a good source of income to both the club and the fans and this will also help in the creation of more jobs for experts who will manage the sequence

3. Is Socios.com a good prospect as an investment vehicle? Explain your personal opinion along with strong evidence.

I think it is a good prospect investment for anyone willing to invest as I think there is a great future on the socios.com

PROGRESSIVE INCREASE
First of all, there are many big sports companies on the socios.com platform already and to be realistic, everyone would love to give the hype of contributing to deciding on a clubs activities, so I feel in due time there will be a progressive increase in the number of clubs that will be joining the socios.com platform and those who had the earlier investment will be of great advantage. so please I advise we invest greatly now.

HIGH LIQUIDITY
Because socios.com was founded on a cryptocurrency base, there will be high liquidity and it is great for short term investments, although with a great study of the platform there may be a chance for long term investments in the digital tokens of the platform

4. Explain the steps to install the Socios application in full and explore the various features in the application. (Screenshot Required)

• first of all go to the play store application
• search for socios and the image icon will appear
• Click on install
• after installation, click on open and access the application and click on get started
• Then input your number and click on the verification

Unfortunately, this is where I stopped in my survey of the applications as I continued attempting for more than 3 days with no verification code received, probably I feel it is a fault common with nigerian numbers or location based, I would advise the developers to look into it

5. Choose a Fan Token in the Socios application and do a detailed fundamental analysis. (Screenshot Required)

Unfortunately. I could not attempt this question in detail because I couldn't register on the socios.com mobile app but if I were to choose, I would have chosen the Barcelona token because I am a Barcelona fan

The FC Barcelona token is currently ranking #482 with a market cap of $64,446,573 here is also the contract address of the token 0x9876A5bc27ff511bF5dA8f58c8F93281E5BD1f21, would have loved to explore more but unfortunately. this is where I will be drawing the line on this question

CONCLUSION

This assignment brought my knowledge to the collabo of the sports industry and the blockchain, and to be honest I was shocked because I never expected it. this entails that there is no limit to the blockchain in real-life application

personal I love the idea of the socios.com platform where fans get to decide, vote and even get rewarded. It's a unique way to give exposure to the world of cryptocurrency showing transparency and also a great investment vehicle as I explained why above

I also recommend the developers should look into all the complaints given about the application especially on the google play app reviews and improve their registration and verification system
