What is decentralization

Decentralization could be defined as a physical location of facilities and the degree to which the decision making process, authority and responsibilities are dispersed and allocated through out the organization.

It is also a system of management in which decision makin is passed down to the lower level managers from the top level management that is, from the board of directors to the subordinate.

Decentralization represents the diffusion or dispersal of authority and power to make decisions, policies and strategies. It could be mostly found in the public sector due to it fast work area. It is also a form of authority that is dispersed by the extension or delegation through out al levels of management.

Decentralization is also acquired as the organization grow bigger by expansion, merges or acquisition in which authority centralization becomes ineffective. All large organization are characterized by some partial degree of decentralization, absolute centralization being virtually impossible.

For this reasons, decentralization should then be seen as a relative and not as an absolute concept. Decentralized social media network can then be defined as a social network like Twitter, Facebook ,WhatsApp among various others to be a network that operates on independent running servers ,preferably to a centralized server usually owned by cooperation or business organization . Mastodon which is one of the popular example of a social blockchainplatform. It functions mostly like Facebook and Twitter and it’s based on an open source network. The social network offers its users more control over the network .

Each user in the network can adjust and convert the social network to their suitable form .the decentralized social network is also said to make up the federalism I.e a term used to connect different servers for networking and other recreational activities like free lancing , blogging etc. the decentralized social network allows users to have access of configuring the network to their own desired result

What is a centralized social media platform

A centralized media platform only gives room for one desition making or one central rule making authority it could be said to be a platform that guide users to a main source of authority delegation .

Centralization can be seen as a system of management in which major decisions are made by the high level management ,that is the top level management .

Centralization could also be the degree to which power is retained by the high level managers within the organization rather than being delegated. Centralization could be referred to as the form of authority in which most delicate decisions are concentrated at the top of the managerial hierarchy.

Although centralization constitutes no authority delegation to various levels in management hierarchy but the idea of centralizing authority may be proved abortive when organization is big or large in size.

Diaspora

Diaspora: it has been available for a period of time now and has been able to have more than a million subscribers in the platform, the servers are independently run and users have access to their own information

Mastodon

Mastodon: it could be said to be similar to the app twitter because it also operates on an open source and has higher than 400 character limit.

Minds

Minds : this platform had been in existence for a longer period of time and has higher users more than one million five hundred thousand and it has been able to gain its stand due to responsible information that is being passed through the app like, site info, news , blogs among others. It also grants peer to peer advertising which allows to monetize content .

Many verse

Many verse: this media network stores information on users devices instead of the servers and sync using scuttle but which makes it available for offline usage and the information can also be synced directly with two devices using Bluetooth or other share access

Which could be said as the future of social media (centralized or decentralized) ?

The future of the social media platform was ,is and will still be the decentralized social media platform because it allows users total access to modify or reshape their projects not like the centralized which takes power access over their files and information when they feel like or when upgrading their accounts.

The decentralized account allows users creat trust for the platform being used because their info is being known to them alone and no one else and that makes their daily dealings secured with ought being produced or leaks out .

Now and in the future everybody demands the need for privacy when having dealings with the social media which makes it to be stated in the platform to create safety passes or security login that only the user may be able to get access to.

The pride of decentralized social media platform is the boasting ability of them having millions of users and they all having different various acccounts and their access codes not being similar to each other and their private users being able to modify their accounts without being intruded or having risk of being hacked.

The future continuous use of the decentralized social media will continue to be generally appreciated due to its effectiveness and efficiency. At times date stores might be in the users devices or servers but some of them allows for usage offline and transfer of backed up information becomes easier through share access medium like Bluetooth, files share among various others

How steemit decentralization social media is best than Twitter and Facebook.

One thing that distinguish steemit decentralization social media from other social media whether centralised social media or Decentralized social media is that it evolves beyond the aspect of social media only which I am going to be discussing below.

(1). It create avenue for people to earn

I think that this is one of the first thing that comes to my mind in this. I study the likes of other social medias like twitter, Facebook, instagram and so on but at the end I discover that none really pave way to obserg as a medium for people to earn like steemit does provide.

You can earn steem or SBD which in turn can be converted to your fiat currency and not only that you can also earn trons which is another avenue for you to earn.

This ability of steemit to make people to earn by rewarding them for their content has really help many people and not only that it has help people to really depend on something as a source of living.

(2). It create exposure for people to learn cryptocurrency and interact with the knowledge of blockchain

With steemit most especially with the latest introduction of this steemit crypto academy, it has really helped many people to get acquainted and informed about what is happening in the crypto space which if it is on other social media like facebook, twitter and so only it will be very impossible.

I myself is an example, I have so much learn about crypto that by me staying on steemit, I have learn about the Crypto space than when I was on other social media like facebook or twitter.

(3). It has create a conducive environment for people to interact and build up relationship.

With th avenue of steemit been created, a lot of relationship have been created and friendship have been developed which without steemit it would have been impossible

(4). It has opened many people eyes to the beauty of decentralization and to make them realise that decentralisation is the future of other social media platforms

With steemit been Decentralized, it had opened many people social media users like facebook or Twitter that Decentralization is the future not Centralization. It has make people to realise that they have been under the control and power of the ceo of the popular social media platforms. In this social media I mentioned, many people have come to realise that the future is Decentralized not Centralized platforms or social medias.

Just like I have said earlier, so much positivity steemit has bring that we can't bring which has impacted many peoples life's and change the live of millions of its users.

Look at the aspect of earning I said earlier, by the prospect of people getting paid on steemit and get rewarded for their effort. I have know many people lifes that have been transformed even from my country Nigeria which their family and generation lives have been affected positively as a result of them been on steemit and as a result that they are capable of earning and been able to live comfortable

Apart from the prospect of earning even, it has been able to create relationship among people and they have been able to communicate and even get knowledge about what they didn't know before

I think this one is linked to what I discuss earlier. Okay let's use my own as an example, in the past few days, I have been able to claim nothing less than 20 SBD which if converted to steem and to my country currency, it has fetched me a lot of money. By that, It has create way for me to earn.

I think one major way we can make money with steemit decentralized social media is through the creating of our post most especially participating in contest.

I think currently now, they are a lot of contest that is currently going on ranging from the steemit Crypto academy to the steemit food and many more contest.

By participating in these contest, it has create way for people to earn if their post is been upvoted.
