Hello everyone welcome to my homework post about cryptocurrency airdrop-giveaway in cryptocurrency which is a homework post from our crypto academy professor @wahyunahrul

1). What do I think about Airdrop in cryptocurrency?

What i think about airdrop is a good market strategy from the project team so as to get mass adoption because that is how blockchain works meaning the more users of that project the more legit the project.

The reason the a cryptocurrency projects drops airdrop during launch is because they want to show appreciation to those people who believed in the project by giving them the token for free but there are more reasons behind Airdrops and they are.

• To promote the project so that the crypto community and the rest of the world will know.
• To gain popularity on social media, so by announcing that they are giving a way airdrop the crypto community will want some because everyone is finding the next project that will do a 10x or 20x.
• To attract investors that is why all the crypto project does it so as to attract investors so that the white paper of the project would be known.

2). How can we know about an Airdrop event so that we can participate?

Airdrop events are easy to find you just have to look in the right places, when i mean the right places i don't mean social media like twitter, facebook, instagram, whatsapp, telegram and so on because any body can lie on those platforms just to scam you, i am not saying that all the airdrop you see is scam but not all is legit that is why you use coinmarketcap:https://coinmarketcap.com and i will be demonstrating how you do it.

• Open coinmarketcap in your browser then find free airdrop from the calender.
  
  

• Click on free airdrops then in the next page you will see categories like ongoing, upcoming,ended and participate.

• if you see a project you like then click it you will see information about the project like the rules to claim the airdrop, the whitepaper etc

3). Where are Airdrop events often held?

When a crypto project team want to inform it's audience about the airdrop of their project, they go to their social media platforms to spread the news and give rules to their community or users what to do to claim the airdrop that is why you see information like claim this amount of airdrop by following, liking and sharing the news then tagging friends social media accounts then after you must have complete all that rules given by the crypto project then you wait and see whether you will be given your share of the airdrop.

Hint: if you don't receive any airdrop maybe that project is fake.

4). Are all Airdrop events free from scams? Otherwise, how can we avoid the scam?

As i said earlier there are scammers who will use the idea of airdrop to scam people how? There are some scammers who need your personal information in other to scam you while they are others who hack your private key when you send them your wallet address then they take your private key and take from you instead of giving you, but i will tell you how easy it is to avoid the scam.

1). Do your researches before trying to participate in that project airdrop and how you do this is simple just try and locate the project white paper because it is the white paper that will explain all you need to know about that project.
2). Go through the rules of how to claim the airdrop send any amount of crypto so that the airdrop will be given and if it is not for fee purposes then it is obviously a scam.
3). Check the project in news blogging website that is legit like coindesk or forbes but if it is not in any news blogging website then it has to be fake.

5). Have you ever participated in a cryptocurrency Airdrop event?

Yes i have and both of those projects were legit but i didn't get any airdrop from any of them and i will tell you why and how i came across those project.

I love using Twitter because i believe that as a crypto holder you need to be using twitter because it is in twitter that you get announcements and the latest news that could decide the faith of the cryptomarket just like how we have seen in the past on how elon musk uses his tweets to manipulate the price of a crypto and it is also in that twitter most of the time where project announce about the airdrop and how you can participate, now from my experience in participating i have noticed that it is done in a first come first serve mentality so if you across a project airdrop tweet that is older than a day there is high chance you don't get any airdrop even after you complete everything you are told to complete.

Let me show you how a typical airdrop event will look like and how you participate.

Firstly this is how an airdrop event will look like in twitter.

Now let me show you how to participate in the airdrop by participating in this airdrop, as you can see in the image above you are told to follow them which i did.

Secondly you are told to retweet the airdrop tweet which i did in the image below.

Lastly DM your BEP 20 wallet address to them which i did in the image below.

Then wait for seven days as you are told but it is not all the project that instructs you to wait for seven days.

6). an example of an Airdrop event that has passed and the airdrop was successful and one more example that has been proven to be a fraud

The successful airdrop i have seen that has passed is the Elrond crypto airdrop which i saw in twitter a few weeks ago and they rules were download their wallet app which you can find in google playstore or the IOS app store.

The second rule is to follow their twitter account, like the tweet and retweet the tweet then tag three friends and that will be all for you to be among those people that will get the airdrop.

There is also a scam project that i participated in through Tronlink, i found out it is a scam after i finished doing the given rules but i was not given the airdrop which got me frustrated, i still waited for weeks but i didn't receive any anything still so i realized that it was fake.

7). Look for examples of ongoing Airdrop events, make an analysis that proves that the Airdrop of my choice is good.

I have found this airdrop called KCCPAD which is a crypto project i found in coin market capand it has an on going airdrop which is going to be launched on july 28th 2021 so they gave rules that you need to follow in other to claim this airdrop.

This is the project in coinmarket cap, it is the first ongoing airdrop in coin market cap and it has a telegram channel which you have join to participate in the airdrop.

In the image above you will see the rules you have to follow in order to participate and when you participate you will be among others to get the airdrop.

It is legit because it is hosted by coinmarket cap and this website has history of hosting good airdrops then i checked the number of people who participated in the airdrop and it is a large number so that is how i know the airdrop i should participate.

349,420 people participated

8). Explain the steps to participate in the Airdrop of your choice.

The steps given to me by the airdrop of my choice is really simple.

In the above images you can see the process you can follow in other to participate in the airdrop and the rules are simple.

1).KCCpad to your coin market cap.
2). KCC pad twitter account
3). Join the telegram group.
4). Send a tweet saying KCCpad with a 25k market cap soon.

When you are done you will have to wait till their launch date which is on july 28th of 2021.

Conclusion

I think airdrop is the best way to advertise your project and that is what crypto project do whenever they want to promote their asset which has proven to boost mass adoption.
