My Homework Tasks Week 5 for Prof. @gbenga | All About Blockchain Security 🔒
Hello Crypto Students and Professors!
This has been another week of the Academy and all the lesson were very great. For this week, Prof. @gbenga were talking more about Blockchain Security in which this is very important to talk about.

As we are into this industry, we will never know may happen that is the reason we should always be ready of all the time. Blockchain technology is too hard to hack but their were instances our account will be compromised especially if we didn't take good care of it. We can take good care of any of our account by just doing all the security features and to kept it safely. Normally, in dwelling with any platform based on blockchain we should always do all the security features mostly like the Private Keys, Seed Key(Mnemonic Phrase) or other ways to secure our Account. It is very important to do and kept that for whatever may happen we can still recover our account.
How can our Account be Hacked?
This is not my personal experience but I know someone who's account on Steemit is hacked by someone with username @contestbuddy, please beware of this username.
We all know that their were lots of Phishing sites that commented by anonymous Steemit Users on different blogs and article on Steemit which offers easy money opportunities either Giveaways, free money or Airdrop by just clicking and registering on the link provided. But their were no official announcement from Steemit and any Tron DApps that they've conducted any giveaways or Airdrop, so this truly means it is a scam, don't ever click and register on those sites for it will get your Steemit Keys to login unto your account and transfer whatever you have to his account.
This scenario really happened to my friend without mentioning the username for her safety. In one of her post someone commented with the Airdrop of JUST Token from Steemit Community telling that their is an huge reward is coming if we register on the link provided. So, my friend clicked on the link and registered before she ask me if it is legit that is the reason her account with STEEM and SBD were hacked and been stolen from her. She didn't mind at first because nothing is happening but after how many hours she was shocked for all her fund were not in her account anymore. This is big lesson learned to her and set as an example.
Conclusion
Blockchain Technology is very safe but the reason were being hacked by someone if we are not vigilant and knowledgeable of everything. Always be updated of the news and information about Blockchain Technology we are dealing with and before taking any action, think first and research or else be ready to face any consequences.
This is the end of my homework tasks by @gbenga with the topic: Blockchain Security. I really enjoyed this tasks and hopefully this will be accepted.

People who get phished are people who want to make quick and unreasonable money from thin air. A lot of people have fallen victims both on Steemit and outside Steemit. Phishing links are a way to get the information of a person for malicious purposes.
