Decentralized social media refers to networks that are not controlled by a single group or corporation. You have complete control of these channels. You are free to express your thoughts and share posts as you see fit. There is a completely unrestricted climate. One of the most well-known open social media sites is Steemit. Steemit as an example of decentralised social media platform, gives its users the freedom to manage their accounts without interference.

A centralised social media network is one in which the end user has no power of his or her account and the account is managed by a third party or central control. In a centralised social media network, a single figure defines the rules and determines the platform's fate. Media sites such as Yahoo, Instagram, Twitter, youtube are good example of centralised social platform.

QUESTION 2. Which One is The Future of Social media ? Decentralized or centralized Social media.

It is absolutely going to be the decentralized social media due to some reasons as I want to state below:

• Every social platform users wish to be independent and be free to some level. Unlike centralised social media where u can be blocked for your post, decentralised media gives room to unhindered freedom of expression without fear.
• Furthermore, rather than relying on a centralised entity to encrypt user data, Decentralized networks often use public-key cryptography for account authentication and for this reason, users will prefer the decentralized network to the centralized network.

QUESTION 3 . How Steemit decentralization social media is best than Twitter and Facebook?

In contrast to Facebook and Twitter, Steemit rewards its members for producing original content. It is not just a waste of time and data. The reward is shared.

Steemit is a decentralized social platforms where users have complete control of their accounts, whereas Facebook and Twitter have centralised accounts. Account of users on Facebook and Twitter can be blocked without notifying the owner which can not happen on decentralized platforms.

QUESTION 4. How do Steemit social media change the lives of millions of its users?

The reward from steemit either in steem or sbd is the first transformation that steemit brings to the life of millions of people especially educated youth who have no means of livelihood, steemit now serve as means of income for many. Most families have been able to have a good taste of life thanks to steemit earnings when they thought they wouldn't be able to live due to the world's tough economic condition.

Steemit has helped in lot of ways including our knowledge. Take for instance, this Crypto academy is a course that one should paid for, but we have all this knowledge for free.

Steemit has turned a lot of us to content creator, Some of us became artiste through the help of steemit. We were able to showcase the talents and ideas that we have in us. Thanks to steemit.

Moreover, steemit made it possible to meet with lots of people from different location. I am able to relate with asians, Americans, Europeans and other Africans through the steemit platform.

Question no 5 :
How can we make money with Steemit's decentralized social media.

There are like three ways by which we can make money on steemit platform:

1. Original content creation: This has to do with posting original content; it can be article, useful post on any topic because steemit covers every area of life, so therefore one can write on any useful topic to the right community. It can also be art post like drawing, singing or any form of performance. Users gets author rewards for any of these kind of post.

2. Curating: Rewards can be made on curating other people's post depending on the steempower of the curator. The more the steempower of the curator, the more the curation reward.

3. Buying and Holding steem tokens: One can also make money through buying the token and Holding it till the future time when the price will be favourable to sell.

Below are the steps to follow when creating a community of your own on steemit social platform.

• Step 1
  From the logging page, click on steemit at the top corner as shown below.

• Step 2
  Now, click on Explore communities which is at the bottom as show below.

• Step 3
  Move to Create Community the click on it.

• Step 4
  Here you will write the details of the community that’s the name and description and then you will press next. As seen below

• Step 5
  click on i have Securely save password key and then hit create as shown below

• Step 6
  Confirm account by paying 3 steems as shown below.

• Step 7
  Confirmation of payment is made by entering my active key as seen below.

Congratulation as you have now created a new community.

Conclusion

• Decentralized social media is prefereable to centralized social media because of the points that I have mentioned above.
• Steemit a social media has improved the life of many people economically and intellectually.
• The lecture of professor @yousafharoonkhan has really open my eyes alot..
