Blockchain gaming has shown that it can thrive in the gaming industry. As more and more blokchains are improving and becoming better, we are beginning to see a lot of game developers utilizing the power of blockchain technology. Blockchain cuties universe is one of the many games that utilizes blockchain technology. Blockchain cuties universe is a collectable game that runs on multiple blockchain technologies (Ethereum, EOS, Tron, Neo and Matic), with adventures where anyone can play with different pets which is also known as cuties in the game. some of the pets are puppies, cats, lizards, bear cubs, etc, each having their own uniqueness in their characteristics and 100 percent belongs to the user. In the game, there are 3 types of cuties namely; regular cuties, tribute cuties and unique cuties.

• Regular Cuties are the basic types of cuties. They are the least powerful among the 3 cutie types. However, the regular cuties are cute pets that get their looks and colours from their genomes.

• Tribute Cutie are more powerful than the regular cuties. This cutie types appear when the user uses the right combination of genes to breed them.

• Unique Cutie are more powerful than both the regular and tribute cuties. These cuties are not common, they are rare and very limited in supply. They also have a unique looks and colours and are the most powerful in battle.

Game Features

My Cuties

This feature is all about the cuties that the user owns. The cuties hundred percent belongs to the users, so the user can decide what to do with the cuties he/she owns. The user can either keep the cuties or sell them in the marketplace. The cutie section has sub categories such as inventory, my market, my cutie market, my groups and tokens.

Forge

This is simply like a workshop where the user can create items, upgrade cuties, items and improve their gears. This feature is very important because it is where the user can create the best items or cuties to be in a good position to win battles. This feature has four sub categories such as enchant which is where the user creates and upgrade the game items and gears. Recycle is the place where items can be recycled into other ingredients. The repair is the place where the user can repair items that needs fixing.

Adventure

This is the heart of the game and is without a doubt one of the most important features of the game. The adventure is simply the place where the users go and find adventures to send their cuties in order to win battles. The adventure feature has four sub categories which are,

• Ready for adventure  is a place to send the cuties out for an adventure so as to return back as the winner in the battles.

• Adventure list  is simply a place to find all the adventure environments. The user level would determine which adventure the cutie can go to.

• Charismas season map is a simply the map of the adventure environments.

• Raid boss is simply the battle ground for the experienced and powerful opponents in the game. Winning in the raid boss rewards the user with prizes. Not all the cuties are qualified to participate in raid boss battles.

BCUG Token

BCUG Token is simply the native token that powers the game. The token is what is used in the game to buy items and powers the game economy. The token can also be staked to earn passive income through its staking rewards APY.

Tournaments

The tournaments feature is simply where the users can join various active tournaments in the game. Different rules and requirements for each active tournament, so the user must meet the requirements before being able to join the active tournaments. Also, there are variable fees depending on the selected tournament.

Marketplace

The marketplace feature is simply where users buy or sell various cuties or other items in a peer-to-peer way. Each of the different marketplace categories have their specific things that can be sold or bought there. There are six sub categories in the marketplace, each having different things that are sold. For sale, for siring, generation 0, all market, items market and shop. Users can choose any of the different marketplace sub category to sell or buy any items or pets.

Special Sale

The special sale feature is simply where users can buy special sale offers that are only limited in supply. The unique cutie types are offered in special sale and these type of cuties are the most powerful in battle than btoh the regular and tribute cuties. In the special sale, users can order for custom made cutie that are created by real artist from any uploaded photo. This helps to personalize the pets.

Leaderboards

The leaderboards feature is simply where all the leading users are ranked. The higher the rank the more wins and experienced the user is. Users play the game and strive to rank higher up in the leaderboard page.

Achievements

The achievements feature is simply where the user can find all his/her achievements so far in the game. As the users play the game and earn more achievements, the achievement page will be updated with all the user achievements.

My Review

After exploring the blockchain Blockchain cuties universe, I have come up with my conclusion about the game and what I think about the game after exploring the game.

Positive side

• Has very good features – I have come across a few blockchain-based games and I have to say, Blockchain cuties universe is one of the best in terms of features. The game comes with very good features that makes it a fully-fledged game that anyone can play and enjoy.

• Play and earn – This is super great and one of the reasons why blockchain-based games are becoming very popular. Users can earn tokens just by having fun in the game. Tokens earned can be transferred and sold for other cryptocurrencies or stablecoins.

• Available on multiple blockchains – this helps to increase the user base and adoption of the game because it means that users can choose their preferred blockchain network to play the game and earn rewards. At the moment, there are only five different blockchain network’s that the game runs on (Ethereum blockchain, EOS blockchain, Tron blockchain, NEO blockchain and MATIC network)

• Staking feature is a big positive side of the game. Users who earn the BCUG token can stake them on the platform and earn even more through passive income.

• Fast transaction speed is also another positive side of the game, Because it runs on blockchains with fast transactions such as EOS, Tron, Matic, users can perform fast transactions in the game. The problem with a lot of blockchain games is the issue of slow transactions, but blockchain cutie universe solves that.

Negative side

• The user interface doesn’t feel modern in my opinion. User interface is one of the important aspects of gaming and for me, I don’t think this game has a great user interface.

• Most people who play games that reward with tokens just play to sell to earn. A lot of players are just after earning rewards from the game.

• Users needs to invest before having full access to the game. This is not a bad thing but not all users have the funds to invest to access to key aspects of the game. some aspects of the game rewards a certain requirements which can only be gotten through investment to buy them.

• Some categories are difficult to understand. There are some categories in the game that is quite difficult to understand except the user goes to the wiki page to learn what the category is all about. This for me is a negative because a game needs to be easy to understand.

My Rating

Based on my opinion, I rate this game a 3.3. I gave this game a rating of 3.3 out of 5 simply because even though the game is good and is fun to play, the game needs a lot of improvements and polishing before it can gain mass adoption especially for people who are not into blockchain and cryptocurrency. The user interface needs to be made to look more modern and also more features needs to be added and also a lot of categories in the game needs to be simplified.
