Combined movements and their influence on our lives

Greetings friends of the steem platform especially to the members of the #HeartStem community, we continue with our essential search related to any type of mobility present in our majestic universe, and all this with the firm purpose of being able to visualize the great influence of the phenomenon of movement in our lives and in important areas such as technology, in previous articles we have been related to the movements of circular, parabolic, elliptical, hyperbolic type and in this opportunity we will analyze a combination of these movements bases and the same we can visualize them in any space-time of our existence.

Introduction

Our visual sense is a reliable witness of the various forms of movement that develop in our natural environment, these mobilities are carried out by any particle, body or object in a natural or artificial way, and they manage to mobilize drawing straight or curved trajectories, and especially performing combined trajectories, the latter aspect is our reason for analysis in this article.

For example, a rectilinear movement is due to the fact that the trajectory followed or described is that of a straight line, and therefore, it would be important for us to know a brief description of the same.

The straight line

This important geometric figure has contributed to the understanding and development of countless activities carried out by mankind, as well as in the understanding of different phenomena that surround us day after day during the development of our lives, and among which we find the recognized phenomenon of movement, in particular rectilinear movement.

Therefore, we could affirm that the straight line is an elementary figure for the analysis of motion in general, especially in properly rectilinear motion.

Rectilinear motion

This type of movement can be observed at any time and in any space of our lives, and we could affirm that it represents the cornerstone of the understanding of this phenomenon, despite the fact that in general the types of movements in our environment are curvilinear.

The phenomenon of movement is for physical science one of the most essential concepts because its relationship with our natural environment is impressively necessary and vital, as we know this great science is constantly fed by our nature is why any relationship of the various branches of the field of science with the natural will always find physics as its best and essential ally, we have already seen this in relation to geometry.

Before arriving at this article, we separately analyzed four important and vital curvilinear movements, which were masterfully assisted by the geometric spaces or places of the conic figures, thus representing the different trajectories traveled by any particle, body or object, thus achieving the study of circular, parabolic, elliptical and hyperbolic motion, where we highlight the valuable role that each of them have in our universe and consequently in our lives.

After the previous analysis, it is up to the rectilinear movement to show us its characteristics beyond its own understanding and application, since it will join other curvilinear movements such as circular and parabolic through combined trajectories and with this we will highlight one of the greatest qualities of both this type of rectilinear movement and the human mind, because man through science has managed to combine different knowledge, exponentially increasing his intellect and quality of life.

In relation to the above, we could say in general that a given particle, body or object can move following a rectilinear motion when its trajectory or path describes the geometric location of a straight line.

If we place ourselves in our reality we would find innumerable movements of rectilinear type, a person in a car or in any type of vehicle, in general, travels along a rectilinear trajectory, or when walking we could follow a straight line, a pitcher in a baseball game at a certain moment will use a pitch called straight (without giving rotational effect to the ball), where, the ball is thrown with great speed following the trajectory of the geometric place of a straight line, as we can see in the following figure 1.

Both in nature and in countless human activities we will find combined type movements, this characteristic is one of the most outstanding of the phenomenon of movement, and as we expressed, we could find combinations, where straight and curvilinear trajectories are present.

Rectilinear-circular motion

This wonderful movement of combined trajectory allows us to increase the great utility of the different types of existing movements individually, any person is a reliable witness of this kind of rectilinear-circular movement or vice versa because we can carry it out without much or any effort at any time or we can also observe them, the human being has managed to design many elements used or implemented in various activities in order to perform some kind of work more easily and consequently with less effort.

We can then refer to the different mechanisms used for the transmission of a movement as the rectilinear-circular or vice versa, therefore, we can in this way transfer and convert forces and movements from a given driving element (motor) to a receiving element.

A palpable example of this type of movement could be represented by the simple activity of screwing a nut on a screw, through this exercise we can clearly see that as the nut turns or makes a circular motion it moves simultaneously in a straight path, this is the fundamental principle of the phenomenon of movement in all its characteristics can be part of any activity of human beings however simple it may seem.

Another example could be observed through the operation of a certain automated system, where it performs a straight displacement and one of its parts performs a circular mobility as shown in figure 2 below.

In the previous figure 2, we can observe how our mechanical system travels a straight path while its support wheel rotates in a circular way, in this way we can find countless examples of this type of movement that undoubtedly mankind carries out with great naturalness that it does not even realize at the time of carrying it out.

Rectilinear-parabolic motion

This type of movement can also be carried out in a practical and visual way, since in many occasions we can observe this type of movement combination, for example, when a risky motorcyclist performs extraordinary acrobatics and in this activity we can visualize this type of combined mobility, as we can see in the following figure 3.

Rectilinear-parabolic-circular motion

In relation to this type of movement we find the combination of three different trajectories represented by the geometric place of the figures such as the straight line, the parabola and the circumference, originating in this way also the extraordinary nexus between the rectilinear, parabolic and circular movements as we can see and in many cases enjoy in some amusement park through the so-called roller coasters, where we can find this magnificent combination of trajectories, and therefore, of the movements previously mentioned as we can see in the following figure 4.

Conclusion

The phenomenon of movement is undoubtedly an intrinsic part of our existence and so far we have been able to demonstrate it in each of the previous articles related to the movements that we have called base, this is because through these mobilities it is possible to develop other combined movements and with them a greater degree of complexity, but of great value for the development of our activities.

Therefore, my friends readers, with the circular, parabolic, elliptical and hyperbolic motion we can structure combined movements as we could observe in each of the examples shown here, however, there are countless applications of this type of combined mobilities, and which applied to technologies have allowed us to facilitate much of our daily activities, and thus, social welfare.
