An act of kindness brings hope to people who feel there is no home for them. If you have ever been in a position of lack then you will understand what it means to be helped by another.

Life some times can be unfair, but not withstanding, we do not have to loose hope, where ever position we find ourselves and we can render help to those who needs it, we should not hesitate to render that help, in so doing the world becomes a better place.

For some time now i and some of my friends has been making plans to visit some orphanage homes here just to give them hope in our own little way. So we did some enquiries about some orphanages and decided to visit one.

Heritage orphanage homes is an orphanage started in 2008 and children kept there are between the age 0- 12years. We choose to pay them a visit.

Although, it was a raining day, but it did not stop us from visiting as we had already planned. We met by 8am at a particular location and made some prayers for the the children we were about to visit and the orphanage home. We gathered everything we bought for the children which includes diapers, detergents, tissue papers, noodles, clothes, toothpaste, food and the rest of them, and packaged them well. Then we ordered a ride to take us to our destination.

At the reception waiting to be attended to

Finally after we got to our destination, it was still raining so we quickly took pictures and we are asked to move into the reception of the orphanage home which we did and there we waited to be attended to. Later one of the staff workers at the orphanage came out to address us, she told us briefly about the orphanage and the children and then she told us that we cant have direct contact with the children because of the spread of covid 19 in the city. Although it was sad for us not to have contact with the children, because i had already prepared my heart in meeting the children and to play with them. But i believe it was for the better because life and health is very important. Hopefully we can visit again when the covid spread must gave gone really down in the city.

The staff brought the children to the door entrance of the reception so we can just see them and know how they are doing but not physical contact with them. It was so nice to see the children. I decided to take some pictures of the children. And below are some of the pictures i took.

I was really happy that we were able to show kindness to those children. And they were all really excited to see us. We got out of the orphanage home and i took pictures again and from there we all went to our various homes.
