Poloniex and Binance now listed as STEEM Default Exchanges
Things are starting to change on Steemit and Steem
Many people have wondered how long it would take before we would start to see some changes take place since the acquisition of steemit.com by Justin Sun...
So far, not much has changed (apart from the community lead hard fork that is).
However, today I spotted something different...
It looks like the default exchanges listed are now Poloniex and Binance:

Look about halve way down there...
Under the "3rd Party Exchanges" heading...
That wasn't there a few days ago.
It also looks like STEEM even has a TRX pair on Poloniex now..

Previously the default exchanges were listed as Blocktrades and GoPax.
Is this a sign of where things are heading as we move forward with steem?
Neither Binance nor Poloniex accepts US based users currently.
There is Binance.US, but STEEM is not currently listed on there.
Given the fact that those two exchanges are now listed as the default exchanges on the steemit.com wallet, I would venture to guess we are going to see a push to bring users to the site from outside the United States.
There are billions of people in Asia that have never heard of steemit.com, so perhaps this is the right move.
Time will tell.

wOW! That could be interesting. I just hope US exchanges continue to support STeem
It really doesn't matter what they list as 3rd party exchanges, as people will use the ones that are easiest to use and they already have account registered.
You're talking about old users. jrcornel is talking about getting new people to the ecosystem.
Nope... Applies to both new and old users...
Not suprising as the head bunting had a lot of aspects of culture about it. The blacklisted airdrop had all the arrogance of US sanctions about it, for example.
I believe something with the ecosystem of Tron will emerge soon.
It's a logical move since many of the English speaking users are moving to Hive.
