We are only a few decades away from the possibility of total abundance. The idea of molecular assemblers and nano factories bring us to another level of society. If it comes to pass, our entire financial, business, and governmental system changes.
What is the impact when you can create anything you want, basically out of thin air?
This is not something we are conditioned to believe in. We live in a world of scarcity so

The only question is if we will have another world war and reset before a new beginning. I like the fourth turning concept, the cycle of humanity. It will certainly be an interesting time.
Another world war will make it all a moot point since the planet would face certain oblivion then.
Thus we will have to proceed with the basis that we aren't going to blow ourselves up or nuke the entire world into a charred rock.
