Antique Civil War Era Vose & Co. Parlor Stove ~ Price Sold $485

This is such a beautiful antique cast iron parlor stove / heater. Manufactured by the Vose & Co. Albany NY. Patent 1853 - Civil War Era. Beautiful crisp and detailed casting.

These parlor stoves were essential for survival. They provided heat and hot water and you could even cook on the top. They were heated by wood and coal.

This is a fine and ornate example. Has some minor breakage on top decorative apron. These can be repaired and restored by collectors.
