I have Read about this place, it was a coal-mining community on the archipelago of Svalbard Norway. Founded by Sweden in 1910 and sold to the Soviet Union in 1927.Pyramiden was closed in 1998 and was remained abandoned. There was efforts to make it the Tourist Place since 2007.According to Norwegian author Kjartan Fløgstad the reason of its abandoning was the low rate of decay in a frigid climate, the abandoned town's major buildings would be visible 500 years from now.

You can visit this place by boat or snowmobile as a part of guided tour or independently. This Place is Still Owned by Arktikugol Trust but visitors are not allowed to enter in any building even if its open.Breaking into the Buildings and Theft has become a serious threat to Pyramiden .Lets see a video of Pyramiden.
