Christmas Tree Ban
The Christmas tree in Russia was banned for 17 years.
Bolsheviks among other decrees forbade to establish in public places and houses a new year tree. In it, as well as decorating the forest beauty of the star, saw the religious overtones. In the end, the tree for a long seventeen years fell out of favor.
The boldest secretly decorated Christmas fluffy beauty. But it was very dangerous. On denunciation for such act it was possible to go to camps.
The return of the Christmas tree took place in 1935 after the publication in the Central newspaper that in the holiday tree, in General, there is nothing wrong. Back and the star, however, made it a six-pointed five-pointed.
