Yuri Dolgoruky: chapter 1.

in #history7 years ago

Setting the stage for any major or minor dispute on the subject, successfully formulated the well-known classic in the 19th century, "who is to blame and what to do?" it is impossible not to refer to the origins of the current political situation is hidden from us, not 20, not 18 and not even in the 16th century.

Ugly forms of organization of political power of the country, expressed in concentration, it (power) in the hands of a native military circles began to be laid in the times of disintegration of Russia in the mid-12th century. It then began to settle the area which became the nucleus of our state, the Russian Federation. Attempts to call the origins of our state, the state of Russia with the center in Kiev look quite strained and are based primarily on cultural and "family" factors.

Paramount right to consider a political factor. And it is exactly the state that emerged in the North-East Russian lands in the 12th century, is fundamentally different from other States (principalities) emerged in the result of fragmentation of Kievan Rus and the Kievan Rus. It is obvious that Kievan Rus and the Rostov-Suzdal Principality was connected to each other by culture, but in talking about the politics of cultural factor, though significant is not the main. Similarly, both public education can be linked with Byzantium, and called the source of the modern Russian state, Constantinople (Istanbul).

The cultural factor like to stick modern demagogues of the parapolitical circles, screaming on every corner "Constantinople is ours", which is totally not true. "Family factor" is also not an argument in search of the origins of our statehood, otherwise you can slide to the other quite so inappropriate slogan: "Stockholm is ours!", since the princes who founded Russia in the first ruling dynasty was Scandinavian in origin. The political factor is the only clue to the origins of the above-mentioned features of the political structure of our state.

Active development of land northeast of the Central part of Russia in the 12th century connected with the name of the Prince of Kiev Yuri, not by chance called by his contemporaries "Dolgoruky". Often nicknames princes tell us more about them than any of the other comments and mention in the annals, if only these nicknames not given by the historians a few centuries later. Prince George, apparently, was very authoritarian, quarrelsome, greedy for power and eager to spread it everywhere. In Kiev to establish the sole power was impossible due to the fact that the boyars, the landowners had too much political weight. Political traditions based on collective decision-making between the Prince and the boyars would not break. Undeveloped sparsely populated North-Eastern lands came to meet the political ambitions.
