Easter Island statues walked into place? Maybe this is how.

The indigenous people of Easter Island have a oral tradition that says the Moai statues walked them selves to where they stand now. I have seen documentaries and experiments all trying to mimic or reproduce moving these monoliths, some successful some not.

This may be the best explanation I have seen to how the Moai were possibly moved. all you have to do is scale it up and it seems like it would work.
