Setelah proklamasi kemerdekaan Indonesia pada tahun 1945 Belanda mencoba kembali masuk dengan membonceng pasukan Sekutu yang masuk ke Indonesia untuk melucuti tentara Jepang yang kalah perang.
Foto-foto ini memperlihatkan aktivitas pasukan Belanda menjelang dimulainya Agresi Militer I di wilayah Pasir Putih, Jawa Timur pada 21 Juli 1947.
