Let me start by commending you for the effort put into this practical and I love your approach to this task. I think I've got one of two things to call your attention to.

The approach you used in getting colour hex via colour picker is correct but the application was wrong judging from step 4th step of your process, the part you highlighted with the colour picker would not give the colour hex mentioned when applied...the picker highlighted a part that already has a lot of white shades overpowering a faded blend of red...

Your text element containing your username, positioned vertically on the right side of the workspace and the motivational quote seems to have a wide gap in size, the latter looks way bigger in size than the former.
