Eddison Skatepark Canberra, Australia
This skate park is fully equipped with ramps, rails, mini mega, ledges, stairs, and a lot more. The mellow obstacles are well-positioned, which creates an open-flow skate park.
Choosing a skatepark depends on what you find most relevant to you. Different skateparks offer different facilities, but when we talk about Eddison Skatepark, it offers a wide range of facilities.
Although some of the facilities are similar to other skateparks in Canberra, it also offers a wide range of other facilities to the visitors as it is located near the dynamic Eddison Park.
This park was first opened in the late 2000s. Since more parks have opened since then, some of them are paid and covered, but Eddison Skatepark is free for all users and the best skatepark in Canberra, barring probably the Belconnen Skatepark, which is covered and has more facilities.
Eddison Skatepark is a skateboarding masterpiece and breathtaking for those who appreciate an open flow park with heaps of transition and integrated street features.
Designed and built by experts, this skatepark is one of Australia’s best in this category, despite many similar parks coming up in different areas of the city, including covered skate and scooter parks.
The need for a skatepark is basically due to the same reasons as other sports, and the basketball court attached to the park also fulfills this need of the visitors.
"As a recreational facility, the Eddison Skatepark primarily addresses public health and safety issues.
The Eddison Skatepark is a community space that anyone can enter.
There are gathering areas around the skatepark. We have open plazas and park spaces near the Eddison Skatepark.
Our surrounding community gets out of their cars here and interacts with each other. When people can interact, the overall sociability of an area improves.
The park provides a positive environment, especially for young people, adults, and young children, and everyone benefits equally.
Because the Eddison Skatepark provides this facility for free, it addresses economic development and quality of life in a more positive way.
The Eddison Skatepark actually gives you two other features: one is that skateparks are an engine of economic development that attracts young people to the area, and because there is scope for other human activities as well, these attract even more people.
Eddison Skateparks are an important social space that promotes walking and other social activities and aims to get people out of their cars where they can engage in physical activities.
These skateparks keep skateboarders away from traffic, so you can consider Eddison Skateparks a valuable component of public safety initiatives.
The skate park is just a short walk or bike ride from my house. This park is free for everyone. The park is open 24 hours a day and has proper lighting facilities during night hours.

Skateboard is one of the favourite place for youngsters. For me, I love to observe them and see how skillful they can use their boards, but I do not think I would be ever able to do that :)
In fact the expert skaters act amazingly that leaves me breathless. I know how to ride on skateboard but that's about all, no gimmicks.
Hi sir @dove11 , I was interested in seeing the place you marked on the Steem Atlas map, I immediately saw it, and it was really Beautiful. Yes! like a luxurious palace courtyard, clean and cool. It was the best Skate park in 2000 or since the park was first built.
But since Belconnen Skatepark was built, It seems that Canberra residents have started to leave Eddison Park. But that depends on how someone assesses to enjoy the interesting sides there, because Eddison Skatepart is still no less interesting for many visitors from various regions and even internationally.
Success always for you, my friend
Actually the skate park in Belconnen is not free since it's private and indoors. However, Eddison park Skatepark is free and and caters to many other activities so still popular. Thanks a lot.
My pleasure, and thanks for additional information sir.
The pleasure is all mine!
