The Lords of Hemp – Steemit Blog 10

Intro: Got three more of these posts from the original outline proposed when this example of Native American Haiku began. Going to try and complete this last hoop before going back to contest writing.

I feel The Lords of Hemp could work on Steemit, as this blog section will end before some other writing done a while back could fit in, then the screenplay would work except the ending, and then go back to some other writing to get into the present day. Then continue this blog from that point on once a week, or when I feel like it, or maybe when other things are going slow.

I can then edit, and add to this material at a later date, and publish a book on Kindle Unlimited called:

South – Black – Desmond Mayday agrees to import only must avoid the Feds controlled by oil.

Desmond Mayday took a jump shot on a sunny LA day, at a nearly empty basketball court, in the Los Angeles Unified School playground. People knew the local professional basketball legend like to play around outside from time to time.

He got his rebound, and noticed the person he had been waiting for walking toward him down the city sidewalk. Desmond Mayday took a corner three and swished it. The ball bounced underneath the basketball hoop. Only this time he made his way to the chain link fence wrapping his fingers around the material of an urban jungle.

“Ho Chi Minh, my man,” Desmond Mayday said with a million dollar smile and disarming laugh. Even in gym clothes he could take over a boardroom.

“Demond Mayday, can I get some box seat tickets please?” Answered the well dressed Vietnamese man wearing sunglasses and a scarf.

“You’re always on the guest list, just let me know . . .”

“I’ll do that,” answered the man called Ho Chi Minh who then lit a cigarette. “Say Desmond, we had a little problem, and we’re going to need your help to fix it.”

“A little problem?” Desmond Mayday asked.

“Yes, we got hit by some Chinese. They said they would shut us down unless we brought in some Hemp. They want you to give it to an American that lives in Seattle.”

“Hemp? I’m not taking any road trips to meet some bum in Seattle.” Said Desmond Mayday.

“Desmond Mayday, my friend, if you want to keep smoking marijuana you’re going to do this. And if the Chinese shut us down people might think you’re responsible. Like you’re family life?”

“It’s that bad?” Asked Desmond Mayday.

“Yeah, just get the Hemp to this guy in Seattle. Obviously, he’s not a bum, he’s VIP. Get him a ticket to a game or something.”

“OK. Wait, Hemp and marijuana aren’t the same thing right? I mean Hemp’s just like fibers for rope and shit right?”

“Exactly, it’s not even a drug. It just gets treated the same way. That’s why we’re bringing it to you. And this guy’s no bum so we need you to get it to him.”

“Alright, I guess I can do this for the team,” Desmond Mayday’s agreement ended the conversation and the mysterious Ho Chi Minh continued his stroll through the city streets.

Desmond Mayday walked over to the basketball that still sat under the basketball hoop. He picked it up, and in one leaping gesture dunked the basketball on the regulation rim.
