If you find this post uselful

I thought I would put some things together that have helped me so far on steam and learning how to navigate in this new amazing world. I have found a very helpful site to help me learn about Markdown Formatting and I thought I would share it with us all. I hope it helps you as well. It is not easy being new and feeling like you are swimming in the deep end of the pool with floaties still on. Ha Ha Ha .

  • It is important to center the images and the texts: For that you put:
    < center> text </ center> WITHOUT SPACES

  • If you need to put something in ** bold **: you only have to put two (2) ** before the words and (2) ** after. WITHOUT SPACES

  • If you need to put something in italics you put one (1) * before and one after. WITHOUT SPACES

  • If you want it to be ** bold ** and * italic * put (1) underscore _ ** (text) and in the end the same thing but backwards ** _

  • To justify the paragraphs you should put:

    < div class="text-justify"> TEXT < /div> WITHOUT SPACES

  • If you want a title to be a larger font, you put # and a space then the TITLE:

HELLO If you place a single # the letter will be large

The more ## the letter gets smaller, up to a maximum of 6 #

  • Lists
There are two types of lists; ordered list and unordered list. The most popular is the unordered list, which is typically referred to as bullet points.

To do an unordered list, you simply use * in front of your items.
*Eggs
*Thick Toast
*Cinnamon
*Powered Sugar
Maple Syrup
But you MUST use a space after your
or your numbers
This was created using the following syntax:

  • Eggs
  • Thick Toast
  • Cinnamon
  1. Powered Sugar
  2. Maple Syrup
An ordered list is the same idea, just using numbers instead of the * syntax use 1. 2. etc.

I have found and amazing website that lets you really learn how to do these things and more. If you are finding this to be a bit foreign to you as I did I highly encourage you to take a look at this site it has been very helpful for me.
