Pilipit

Pilipit is the Filipino version of the Chinese Mahua a fried twisted dough made with either regular flour or rice flour and coated with sugar or syrup. It is believed that it came from the influence of Chinese who arrived in the country.
Pilipit is known as Shakoy from Visayas and Mindanao or Lubid-lubid in the northern Philippines.
