WATER - AN ALL NATURAL HEALING AGENT FOR OUR MINDS AND BODIES!

in #heath7 years ago (edited)

Ever since I was a kid I enjoyed going fishing, going to the beach and even for a walk down by the creek.
Usually I would be coming home and sleeping like a baby during the night.

In the past decade or so after looking it up on our good old friend by the name of Google, I have found that water has in fact “healing powers”.

The way I describe it that “water takes out all the negativity from within us”.

Now, that coming from a person who was born and raised in Australia is nothing unusual, especially if we take into consideration that ones childhood years are for the most of us on this earth the happiest memories that we have, if no the happiest, then amongst the happiest, to say the least.

What I can be a witness to is that when I am stressed out, even a leisurely walk down by a river, creek, pond, lake what ever body of water it may be, except for a crock farm, actually results in a calmer state of mind afterwards.

How? And Why? Well I don’t know, but I will delve into some of the short notes about all the proven experiences that state similar or exactly the same things.

Ever since The Roman Empire, it has been noted and recorded how humans have used waters for therapeutic reasons. Everything from cleansing, relaxing and even healing the human body.

Now this could be all linked to the following facts:

1- Gradually raising ones body temperature actually stimulates the natural production of white blood cells, hence strengthening the natural body immune system.

2- Hot water likewise helps the body perspire (sweat) and in this process under these conditions the body releases a lot more toxins along with the impurities on the skin.

3- Various salts, herbs, minerals and teas can serve one purpose, but when used in baths they all serve a different purpose, sometimes similar to those as “foods” however in all cases they help the body relax and replenish its needs in ways that rarely any medicines can claim to do!

4- Alternating the temperatures of water, switching from hot to cold, and vice versa was a commonly used practice during ancient times to help get people wide “awake” and their minds well aware of their reality. The reason this worked was because this simple little method actually helped circulation of blood, to the brain and I guess any other parts of the body that they wanted to use at short notice!

5- bathing in mud filled with minerals, is in fact bathing in water that has mineral filled soils. Again from the ancient times a proven method to help replenish the body with minerals and at the same time a proven detoxication process. In modern times it has been said that a bath in mineral mud is more productive than a long one or two hour massage with various minerals/oils.

6- Weight loss and skin repair was another use for water. Basically using water to stimulate the cellulite as we know it now and at the same time the skin glands. Promoting weight loss and simultaneously ensuring that the skin doesn’t start t sag. Now that might not seem to be the case when looking at the movies with all those chubby “Roman Senators”, however, I don’t know why anyone would want to look at them when the staff serving them and their wives are there in the same scenes! So I presume the idea was that this is what the better looking gender of our species used water for!

7- Hot springs in which “bubbling water” relaxes people. Now we use “The Jacuzzi”, however back in ancient times they were restricted to natural springs. Again, apart from just relaxing the human body the bubbles that in some way I guess not only massage the body, but also raise up the minerals and nutrients in the water to your body on impact with the body actually have been proven to promote the renewal of cells and help out in cell growth! Now I guess that The Romans may not have known this, but they sure did make bathing centres all over their empire, taking advantage of all the natural sources of all the springs within the empire.

8- Heavily salted water, what we now know as “floatation tanks” were nothing new to various cultures of ancient time. Basically these types of relaxation techniques were used to get peoples batteries “recharged”. Now we actually know for a fact that one hour of effortless floating in water actually is the equivalent to over four hours of sleep! Likewise, because of the heavy concentration of salt in the water, the body naturally flushes out its toxins via its urinal system. Basically another detoxication process in which the human body does what it can do to heal itself.

I am sure that there are many more things that can be said about the healing powers of water, but I’m no professional.
I still stand by experiences from going fishing, swimming or just walking by a body of water.

What I have found is an excellent article about the tech side to all this, going into topics that are well above any of my vocab as far as the medical and scientific sides of things go. The author also in a similar fashion goes into the practical side of things and talks about her experiences when it comes to how the healing powers of water helped her out.

I guess, that no matter what the “scientists” and pharmacists may say about chemical treatments and other medicines, water is more than just life, it is an all natural substance that in conjunction with other all natural substances can help all of us to become calmer, healthier and better people.

So, when I say “Water takes out all the negativity out of people” I am not making any new discovery, it is just my way of expressing my experiences.

The Romans back from many many moons ago, from a time long past figured it all out too. Why, we today seem to want to reinvent the wheel?
IDK!

Now, after this nice little post about a topic that I have often spoken about when appropriate, and now here on my Steemit wall too, I am going to go take a nice long warm shower..... hopefully get all the stress from trying to write up what seems to be so easy to talk about, yet when I have to put it on paper (on a screen) it never seems to come out as effectively!

Steem on my fellow Steemians and remember,

The Moral Of The Story:
Don’t believe everything that the big boys in the medical “INDUSTRIES” claim to be the truth, sometimes mother nature has given us more than everything we need to help us stay healthy and feeling good!

So happy to read about the recreational aspects of health and water! It validates some of the theories about earthing or grounding oneself for better health and sleep. Thank you for the post.

As far as drinking water, maybe in Australia water is clean to drink, but in the states, I feel fortunate to have found a natural spring to source my drinking water. No fluorides, tested pure and cean. Free! www.findaspring.com.

Most of the high tech videos lose me with their language/terms.

Today I was sitting with some mates, having a coffee and this topic came up, I started going into the Roman Empire part of it and the conversation was interesting.
So I thought to myself how I could share my experiences, views and thoughts about it here via a post.

I can't explain all the details, but from the little I have learned on the topic, especially about how The Romans knew about this all, well, they knew how to utilize the healing powers of water in a day and age that is non comparable to ours.... just is amazing.

All I can do is to say how being next to a body of water helps me, especially when I am all stressed out or down in the dumps. That is personal experience talking!

PS. That was an almighty lightening fast response.

& I shall watch the video later, I'm of to hit the shower!

:)

a very nice post, thank you for sharing. greetings from @teukukhaidir

A great piece of writing, its fantastic to see you have an interest in water! Most people take it for granted and just drink it every now and then, I am glad you took the time to write this and hopefully it help a few people out.
