ASSERTING YOUR INTEGRITY.

Asserting your uprightness before the Lord is not a sin; neither should it be seen as a display of pride. King David said, “Integrity and justice will preserve me, because I wait on you”

In Isaiah 43:26

“Put me in remembrance: let us plead together: declare thou, that you may be justified”.

To the upright, God longs to show Himself upright; but many are so bankrupt as far as upright living is concerned, that they have nothing to hinge on, seeking to enjoy God’s uprightness.

The assertion of your integrity from the standpoint of the supply of God’s grace, appeals to God for the supply of more grace. When it is seen to be coming from the standpoint of the energy of the flesh, you repel heaven and your case before God is never seen as inviting.

Asserting your uprightness in an exaltation of what God has made out of you, makes for the increase of your greatness. This is true because of what God knows so well about you; that, increasing your greatness will sum up to His exaltation.

When God knows that there is nothing He gives you that doesn’t bounce back to the increase of His glory; He works to ensure that there is no limit to the grace He makes available unto you. He knows it will all work together for His greater glory. God does not invest in an unproductive venture. He encourages multiplication in righteousness.

Asserting your uprightness in the allowances of God for your life turns out to increase your allowance for a life of beauty and praise. It’s all wrapped in the joy of what God has made out of you and not what you have made out of yourself. We are really not sufficient of ourselves to think of anything as ourselves; our sufficiency is of God. You are therefore expected to glorify him.

Samuel as a leader over God’s people had cause to assert his uprightness before the people: He said to them –

“Behold, here I am: witness against me before the LORD, and before His anointed: whose ox have I taken?...or whom have I defrauded?...or of whose hand have I received any bribe to blind mine eyes therewith? And they said thou hast not defrauded us…” 1 Samuel 12:3-4.

Can you stand to do the same before those you lead or work with, and not receive the surprise of your life, in the multitude of accusations?

• Those who live in glass houses do not throw stones.

• Those who are leader live by example.

• Those who hope of heaven are living and working out their salvation with fear and trembling.

THINK ON THESE THINGS.
