Ecclesiastes 3:7 (NIV)

a time to tear and a time to mend, a time to be silent and a time to speak,

Silence is golden when you cannot think of an answer. It is not every time you have to talk. There is a season for speech and a time to be quiet. Sadly, a lot of people don't know the difference. They feel they are entitled to voice out every time they feel the nudge in their head. The Bible wasn't joking when it says the tongue might be the smallest but it is the deadliest. It is wise for everyone to know how to tame their tongue or their opinions as the case may be.

I have always stressed the importance of being sensitive to others even if you don't know what they are going through, not to talk of when you know what they are going through. This life is simple and we need to thread with caution because you don't know what you might say that would through another person off board. There is a thin line between life and death.

I once read a story about a man who left a note and stated why he wanted to go and kill himself. He dressed his best and was heading to the bush. He met another man on the opposite direction and that one complimented his outfit. He was so impressed that he turned back and wrote in his diary how excited he was and why he changed his mind that life is not bad after all just because someone complimented him.

You can sit next to a broken person and you won't know it.

Someone shared today on a platform about how her mistake cost her $25,000 as hackers got into her portfolio and cleared everything she has. She even made a video where she was crying about it. I was shaken to my bones. I felt hurt seeing her cry because she is someone that has a beautiful heart. She loves to help and give also.

Someone came on the comment section and said "You of all people should know better. Sorry dear". Even when you cannot relate to the pain of another, that is the best time to keep quiet. A mistake is never a respecter of anyone. He should have just kept quiet when he knew he had nothing uplifting to say. I was furious.

We need to be considerate with others. What you would never allow anyone to do to you, don't try it with anyone else. Would he appreciate such comment if he lost 5,000 naira or his steem currency got misplaced or hacked? The Bible is a complete guide on how to live but most people don't even study it let alone to allow it to sink into their subconscious.

Life is hard enough and as much as it is only God that makes it easier for us, let us also make it easier for others with our words and actions because we are God's representatives here on earth. There is time for everything. We need to study more of Ecclesiastes chapter 3 personally.
