Our bones are the basis of our body as everything including our muscles, ligaments and inner organs are protected by bones, bones are taking part in movement and our daily activity. Thank our bones and its strength we can overcome gravity and not smashed to ground. But there is a disease that affects our bones, often and naturally when we get older, then bones loose calcium. That will make bones fragile, even light strike and hit or fall could cause broken bones. That is why we often see that elderly people easily have broken hips and shoulders.
Common causes are:
age, when we get older bones loose its strength and break
parathyroid hormone disease, when it is causes the calcium to migrate from bones into blood, those people also have weak bones
people who have lack of Vitamin D
people who have problem with eating
people who had any surgery on intestinal tract and have absorption of nutrients
Simple Xray may give a good idea about the bone density, for more precise testing there is a special scan that checks the bone density but in more details. Also to check calcium in blood that is simple blood test.
Important to make sure that you have food rich in vegetables and fruits as well as milk products, containing Calcium and Vitamin D. Often when we train, keep muscles active there will be more blood supply to muscles therefore, our bones receive more nutrients with blood, that helps to keep our bones healthy as longer as possible.
