🦷 Can you tell me the scope of oral surgery, its importance, and its purpose?

Oral surgery, also known as oral and facial surgery, is a specialty of general surgery that deals with the diagnosis, surgical treatment, and management of malformations.In which the first things that are affected are our hard tissues such as teeth, jawbones and facial bones, then our soft tissues are affected, such as the gums, tongue, lips, and facial skin.Apart from the effective treatment of our oral diseases like cancer , tumor etc. Complex extraction like for example impacted teeth wisdom teeth besides the connected face and mouth reconstruction like bone grafting etc.

Importance
It relieves pain and discomfort associated with oral health problems, restores the overall quality of life, treats life-threatening conditions such as oral cancer, etc. And increases self-confidence and self-esteem.
Purpose

Oral health is the most important aspect of providing oral health care to patients with needs, in addition to improving oral function and appearance.Promoting overall health and well-being can also be advanced through research, education, and husbandry of oral surgery. Oral surgery plays an important role in maintaining tongue health, relieving pain and discomfort and improving the overall quality of life. Because when a person has pain even in a small place, that pain makes a person restless.

🦷 Have you had any dental complications that have been treated by a surgical specialist?

I have not had dental complications treated by a surgeon.I've never been to a dentist about it but I've been going to the dentist quite often because I've had braces a long time ago and they're getting better now so I'm going to him regularly for treatment for my regular check-up.

I have heard a lot about Dentistry because I have met a lot of dentists in my area and I have a cousin in my family who has studied in this field and after that she specialized and has his own clinic mashallah.I have a personal connection to the field of dentistry through your cousin. That's wonderful! Having a family member who is a dentist can be very helpful, especially if you have any questions or concerns about your own oral health.Amd it's all about Oral surgery is a specialty of dentistry that focuses on the diagnosis, surgical treatment, and management of disorders, defects, and injuries affecting the hard and soft tissues of the oral cavity.
