Epilepsy

This is a chronic neurological condition which involves the brain where the patient experiences recurrent seizures or episodes of altered consciousness or abnormal behavior or sensations at least two times in the lifetime and it can occur with any person at any age and can be precipitated by a number of factors such as genes, head injuries or chemicals in the brain.

There is one more modern cause which, to people’s surprise, can lead to epilepsy and which is-connected excessive amounts of time spent in front of screens and currently, due to the development of technology people, especially the youth, are glued to their phones, tablets, computers, and television screens and this means that constant contact with bright illumination and flickering images influences the brain electrical activity and can provoke epileptic disorder in some extent in certain people.

So the link between the time spent using screen based devices and epilepsy is especially important for children and teenagers whose brains are still in the process of developing and are therefore more vulnerable to outside input so it has been found out that exposure to more light can hamper with the brain’s normal cycles and also inhibit production of neurotransmitters in the brain. Such disruption can bring changes in the activity of the brain and with certain circumstances can cause epilepsy.

So considering the fact that in today’s world screens have become an inherent part of our lives and new technologies are emerging every year i really appreciate @aaliarubab for putting enough work to make this contest engage the public into Increase awareness of the better way of handling screens so as to improve the health of our brains and in the process minimize the instances of epilepsy in our midst i really appreciate your time.
