As you mentioned eating variety of things in breakfast; it's beneficial for the healthy system because you will fulfil the necessities required for your body. Moreover, late night eating is a big issue; many people on returning from job late eats late and go for a nap, I will suggest to them to sleep 2 hrs later from dinner.
