Ginger Shots!

Early in the morning, your alarm clock is buzzing. You slowly open your eyes and the wake-up process starts. Do you need a boost in the morning to help the wake-up process?

Try a ginger shot in the morning. It’s easy, healthy and gives you that much needed boost in the morning. Because pure ginger juice is very sharp, I mix the ginger with other vegetables or fruits. The recipes below are my creations for ginger shots so far, maybe more will follow.

I use a slow juicer to make my juices, but it can also be done with a blender. If you use a blender add small amounts of warm water until you have a nice smooth substance.

Ginger shot light:

  • 1 green apple
  • 1 – 5 cm ginger root (to your own taste)

  • 1 lemon
  • 1-5 cm ginger root (to your own taste)

Sweet ginger shot:

  • 3 carrots
  • 1 orange
  • 1-5 cm ginger root (to your own taste)

Ginger shot spicy:

  • 1 bell pepper
  • 1-5 cm ginger root (to your own taste)
  • a piece of red pepper (to your own taste)

Just put all the ingredients into the slow juicer, pour the juice in a shot glass and Cheers!

These substances have antioxidant properties that help protect your body against cardiovascular disease and cancer. If you often suffer from a bloated stomach, ginger can remedy it.
