Does the Measurement Matter?: Penis size from a female perspective

It’s the perennial question, likely sprouting up in the minds of all men at some point in their lives: does size matter? At first glance, this seems like a “Yes/No” answer, but I think an important follow-up question would be “To whom does(n’t) size matter?” I will explore this question in a two-part post, one from the female perspective and one from the male, to explore aspects of penis size and its impact on self-esteem and relationships.

Ladies First

Plenty of voices are heard heralding “the motion of the ocean”, but how often does a captain desire take a battleship cruiser into a bayou, or a dingy into open sea? Ultimately, each vessel has its ideal conditions and locations in which the captain operates. Could this hold true for coordinating pleasure as well?

The term vagina does not refer to the readily visible lips on the exterior, but to the canal that leads to the cervix and the uterus. Just as with the formation of the labia, discussed in my previous post, there is variability in the dimensions of the cavity and even in the layout. At the deepest point of the vagina, there will be an ending that meets the bottom of the uterus aka the cervix. Depending on the timing within the menstrual cycle, the cervix may be lower in the canal and firm, or higher and soft. Could a penis that is longer than the partner’s vagina be uncomfortable? You bet your butt! Does a girthier member apply better pressure to the pudendal nerve. Does a shorter cock have a penetrative advantage for hitting the popular g-spot?

But even when hitting in the right ranges and angles, will that always guarantee orgasm? The current data says “maybe not”. OMGYes.com’s survey, the subject of the review series, says only 18% of women respondents achieve orgasm from vaginal penetration alone. This does not mean that the other 72% are only using the clitoris, a range of 10-15% report no orgasms at all. Are these numbers truly indicative of a physiological ability? Could a better level of education of anatomy and function bump up ease of orgasm? I certainly believe further understanding of sexuality is a worthy exploration and will lead to better enjoyment for women and their lovers.

Without searching, leave a comment below to guess the percentage of women that report size DOES matter and I will reveal the answer for the second part of the size series, from the male perspective.

As a woman I'll say size does matter, both length and girth (and yes, too much of a good thing is possible!), as does angle, position, and where I am in my cycle, and as I get older what I enjoy has changed, too (in a good way, so for the younger ladies - it really does get better with age!).

I agree, I think it's easiest to see when you are enjoying sex with the same partner over time too...unless they are working on increasing their size, their size can be the "control" and you can experiment with the positions that work best for his measurements.

Better sex definitely sounds like an upside to the aging process...perhaps for some it comes down to becoming a more proactive advocate for your pleasure but very interesting to consider the physical side. Thanks for checking it out!!

Of course size matters, don't kid ourselves. It just is a matter of degrees. Too small, too big,,too fat, too thin,,,all can be a problem for someone. From a guys position, both extremes would b a problem, but mostly for a smaller penis. I mean, it's got to be big enough to get in, right? If not, major problem. Most men are in the middle range, and if you are there, you need to know how to use your equipment. Women are alot of work, in a good way, but it is worth it to satisfy them physically. But emotionally is where you get love and if she is yours emotionally, physically is easier. Talk to her, find out what makes her tick. Find out all you can about her feelings and her physically likes and dislikes, and satisfy both, and it makes all the difference.
Don't think she is just going to swoon just by looking at yr equipment. Well, maybe😉.

I was going to say, it hasn't always been the lead information to know about a prospective partner, but I've had to pick up my jaw before ;* but I agree that communication is the way to really achieve mutual pleasure and comfort from the experience, and I'd say that's a big part of the act! I guess you can also make little mini-humans from it, but that's a lot more responsibility than just helping her reach climax haha. Thanks for your insight and I hope you'll also participate in my more male based post to follow!
