We all know that we should do exercise to stay healthy and fit. Still you will see many people who want to do exercise, but they are not doing it. So what prevents you from doing exercise or stop exercising?

01. Have no time

Life is really busy sometimes. We have tight schedule. If you ask someone why she/he does not do exercise, the answer is, “I have no time.” If you change your mindset and think exercise is something you have to do as a part of lifestyle, you will do it. Well, do you say that I don’t brush my teeth because I don’t have time? No, you don’t. If you consider exercise something like that, you will do it anyway.

02. Don’t see the result

You are doing exercise, that’s good. After a certain period of time, you think you do not see the result. So what’s the point of doing exercise? So you quit. For example, you set some unrealistic goals. And you are disappointed because you are not close to your goals.

Maybe you are not aware of all benefits of exercise. If you do exercise, it can help you to sleep better and think more clearly. It will not only boost your immune system and mental sharpness, but also help you avoid obesity, diabetes, cancer and heart problems.

03. Too tired and lazy

Probably you are not exercising because you are too tired and lazy. If you are exhausted at the end of the day, you can do workout in the morning. At the beginning of the day you have the energy to do whatever you want. Be with positive minded people who want to maintain a healthy lifestyle. You will be motivated to do exercise.

04. No support from family

If you want to do something, and your family does not support you, it will be difficult to continue. If you do not get support from your family on your fitness journey, find like-minded people who support you. Doing the right thing is always right. When your family sees the positive change on your health, they will support you.

You do not like exercise because you feel uncomfortable. You tried to do workout before, but you just hate it. The thing is, if you never exercise before, you feel uncomfortable. When you start exercising, you have to move your body in a certain way that you are not used to doing before. It pains little after exercise. This is normal. You have to get out of your comfort zone and keep doing it. You will feel comfortable later, and you will get used to it.

If you live in a place where it is very hot in the summer or so cold in the winter, it might prevent you from doing exercise. You will always find a way If you want to keep up with your fitness journey. You can go to a gym where there is a certain temperature. You can do exercise at home. You do not have to go anywhere. If you have firm determination, no one or nothing can stop you.

07. Physical Limitations

You might have injury or you are overweight. Because of these physical limitations, you think not to do exercise. When you are going through a situation like this, you should go to the doctor and your doctor can advice you what to do and what type of exercise is good for you. You can start slowly and get better in the future.

I honestly have NO reason not to exercise except that I haven't committed to doing it. I know I need to. Now that I'm getting older, maintaining my weight through diet alone is not working. Really enjoyed your post. I found it thanks to Monday Madness :)

Commitment is really important. It's not that you have to do something big. Just take a small step like walking in the morning and you can move on from there. Once you start doing something, it gets easier later.
