I'm in love with this new way to peel my pomegranate!
So I love pomegranates but get so annoyed with pealing them open. The season is so short here in small town Canada and I'm lucky if I have the patience to eat 1-2/week, but now I'm trying to eat healthy for my fitness contest Here so its time to have more they make a great snack.
Then last week when we were at the grocery store I spotted this little tool. After a long debate with my wife she agreed to let me buy it for the whooping $10 half expecting it not to work well.
The thing is freaking amazing magical best thing ever! You just cut the pomegranate in half, then put it face down on this thing, it's got a flexible silicone top to prevent splatter. You just put the lid on and whack it with a heavy spoon a few times. And the pomegranate gets flattened and all the seeds fall in the cup.
I've watched so many YouTube videos on how to peel one and used to devote so much time to peeling them. If anyone is peeling pomegranates by hand, find one of these immediately!!

I need one of these! I have two pomegranate trees so I get to eat lots of them! But I hate peeling them. This little gadget is amazing. I will have to look for one online. Never going to find one a store here. Thanks for posting this little gadget!

I live in the department of Leon. I am a half km from the Pacific Ocean. Beats the snow in Ontario. I don't need a snow shovel any more!
Nah, I like the winter, It was to warm and tropical there for me.
I love Pomegranates. I live in Israel so they are pretty abundant here. I also hate trying to get the seeds out which I don't like. It gets all over my shirt, walls and other surfaces.
I'm so jealous! I actually looked up there seasons and were they grow. I was really into them when I first discovered them a few years back. We only have them for a couple months here. I need to find a specialty store somewhere.
i am surprised they can even be cultivated where you live but I guess I shouldn't be. It gets warm in Canada too. We actually seem to have them for the Fall only. But they grow in such abundance here that they are incredibly cheap.
I'm quite sure there imported from far away. Likely somewhere in the southern US or Central America. Know knows maybe they even travel across the ocean.

There's really good, they have the little seeds in the center, but otherwise there really sweet.
Its sweet but not unlike a tomato's flavor either. Maybe its just me! haha
