You Got Rythym!

When to exercise.. For Maximum Benefit.

Practically all physiological and biochemical processes in your body follow a "circadian rhythm". In humans, the suprachiasmatic nucleus (a small region of the brain in the hypothalamus, responsible for controlling your internal clock), regulates your sleep and wake cycle aswell as many other daily biorhythms in line with solar time.

Peak neuromuscular performance coincides with your body temperature, both peaking in the early late afternoon and early evening.

This increase in core body temperature also increases your energy metabolism and improves muscle compliance and facilitate what is known as "actin-myosin crossbridging" (this is where muscle contraction proteins interact with each other).

So is there really a better time to exercise for boosts in wieght loss.

Yes timing your workout is vital as your recovery time for high intensity and interval training will be be faster and more complete.

This is due to your biological clock or what is known as you_Circadian Rythm"_. Your phyiscal and physiological performance typically peaks in the later afternoon, which coincides with an increased body temperature.

It doesn't stop there

In later afternoon and evening, your body has increased nerve conduction, joint fluidity, muscular blood flow, and much more during your physical performance.

Morning regimes

Strength and performance can be restricted, especially with a morning resistance training schedule. The optimalbody time for this type of training is again in later afternoon and early evening time periods.

Sleep In

So sleep longer in the morning and hit the exercise programs and classes at night after work... you will sleep more and benefit far more.
