For today's weed news we go to the great nation of India.

Although cannabidiol, the non-psychoactive cannabinoid, has been shown to treat epilepsy, chronic pain and many other adverse health conditions, it is still very difficult to obtain for many people around the world because of cannabis prohibition.

But now it seems that researchers have found a way to get around a lot of the red tape by producing a special variation of hops (yes the same hops used in brewing beer) which they can derive CBD from instead!

Because hops and cannabis are in the same plant family, Dr. Bomi Joseph recently discovered that it is possible to cross pollinate hops with high CBD cannabis strains, thus creating hops which contains cannabidiol.

"I knew that there was a chance of this actually happening... But we looked at thousands of samples before we found one or two that has CBD in it" says Dr. Joseph.

After numerous attempts, Dr. Joseph, partnered up with Medical Marijuana Inc, and together they are now able to reliably produce humulus oil made from hops which contains non-cannabis derived CBD.

According to Stuart Titus, the CEO of Medical Marijuana Inc, "This is certainly going to help change the dialogue for not only many parents whose children have epilepsy, but various other world markets who still, of course, consider cannabis part of the United Nations Single Convention Treaty on Narcotics."

Joseph and Titus now plan to focus their efforts on countries where cannabis laws are the harshest.

What a genius way to get around the bullshit laws that still constrain so many people around the world and keep them from the medicine that they should be using to live better lives.
