Some dentists are calling for the filling material to be banned, and are usually met with the same boring ancient rebuttal-

"Dental amalgam is a safe and durable material that has been used by dentists to restore teeth for well over 100 years."

The hard evidence disagrees with that lazy response. Every day I come across someone desperate to get their health back after being poisoned by their mercury fillings. Dentists were dumb enough to use mercury 100 years ago, with all the testing and evidence we have now, there are no excuses!

Dr Hisham Abdalla is a New Zealand dentist who knows the dangers of amalgam.

“Continuing to use amalgam on children creates issues of disposal in the years to come. It increases the risks of secondary poisoning and the use of amalgam also exposes New Zealand dentists, their patients and the environment to the toxic effects of mercury. It is irresponsible to keep using it with its known environmental effects” - Scoop.

The fact alone that the use of amalgam fillings have not been banned yet, makes you a little suspicious in thinking they are doing this on purpose.
