Delete Anti-Vax Content on Social Media Urges UK Government

in #health5 years ago

I'm an evidence based health blogger but also a proponent of making social media relatively censorship free, so I have mixed views on this.

By deleting content we are not putting an end to anti-vax theories (some might say propaganda). We simply push the narrative underground and reinforce their beliefs that there is a conspiracy to hide the truth and to silence them.

What do you think?

I agree. It simply makes them go underground where they can't be monitored or contradicted. More importantly, having both sides presented allows for discussion and convincing people who are on the fence. With a one-sided discussion, there really is no discussion, thus no chance to change opinions one way or the other.

I agree too and impossible to find any anti-vax written by those opposed, Internet in general, FB for sure and maybe not so surprising, here either? Punched anti-vax into search engine and yours is the only one close to being the other side, by simply stating you think both sides ought to have a choice. I don't even know if you still come to this site? A ghost town, but still I am here leaving you a comment. Where has free dialogue gone during all this covid, covert silencing?
